Fantasy Narrative Illustration Process
Inspiration for this piece comes from Brandon Sanderson's 'Warbreaker' and was an exploration in pushing detail within fantasy illustration. My goal was to use as much information as possible from the text while remaining true to the vision I had in my head from reading the book.
Done in gouache on hot press illustration board, 10" x 18".
